A while ago I posted about doing a creative side projects to help be more, well, creative. It’s taken me quite a while to figure what to do. I’d love to do some drawings or some typography projects but it always seems like there isn’t enough time in the day as it is. I should also be realistic and keep it simple.
I’ve always love photography but didn’t want to do the basic, photo-a-day project of just anything. Then the other day my daughter reminded me of a fun thing we do from time to time. From the back seat I hear “Mommy, I see a dinosaur!”. At the moment I couldn’t see exactly what she saw but we were only a half a block from school and I hopped to see it then. I tried to hurry because things change so fast. We pulled into the big parking lot where there a great view of the sky. She pointed to were it was but said the dinosaur was gone.
I snapped the photo anyway.
So, there it is. My project. Over the next year I plan on taking as many clouds and sky photos as I can. Some days it’s not as easy and well, the photo would be quite boring. No guarantees that I can really do one a day for a whole year, I’ll opt for just over half a year, 180 photos total within the next year. That should be doable, I think.
I’m not sure what type of dinosaur she saw but this cloud does have some fun shapes. What do you see?
